About Us

Rachel Linas GG, President L-F was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from the Collegiate Schools in Richmond and went on to graduate from the University of Virginia with a degree in Biology. She is a GIA Graduate Gemologist with a background in retail sales, appraisals and design.


"When I was in retail, the most difficult aspect of my job was that I was working for the store and not for my customers. There was this one gentleman with whom I was working. After the long discourse on how to best pick out a diamond, he studied all the choices in the case and with that bewildered look, he sheepishly asked me if I could 'just pick something' for him. That was when I realized that I would be happier helping this gentleman buy what he needed rather than sell him what we had."
